Welcome to our Pass the Page International Blog Hop,
co-ordinated by the amazing jsquared herself Julie Jeavons -
I thought what an amazing idea to email inspirational pages & see what eventuates...I cant wait to see them all I tell you!
You could be in the running for this lovely prize of scrapping goodness, if you follow our Pass the Page Blog Hop & comment on each page.
It looks fabulous hey & it is so easy to do!
Here is the wonderful page by
that got my thoughts running....
and now here is my page
I love this type of scrapping when you get given a page to copy, you cant but help to do it your way!
I followed Lisa-Jane's vertical page alignment, using similar colours but with a touch more red, cos I love its vibrancy! I choose Basic Grey paper kit Piccalilly which I adore with this black & white photo. I used this one photo as it features Pete's (hubby) beautiful Aunty Heather, who sadly died suddenly in 1980, Aunty Peg & Pete's dad Neville.
Now if you are following the hop, next stop is the lovely page from Alexa: http://simplyalexa.typepad.com
I haven't seen this page yet , so I am quite excited to see what Alexa has done!
Here is a list of Blog Hoppers from the start...
Candace: wannabescrapbookaddict.blogspot.com
Helen at Beacon Crafts in Sedgley (Lizzie will host Helen's page, so Lea please post a link to Lizzie) - confirmed
Lizzie: http://lizziemade.blogspot.com
Lisa-Jane: http://comeinsidemycrazyhead.blogspot.com

Hello Debi, so nice to "meet" you - and in such lovely circumstances too!
ReplyDeleteYour page is gorgeous - such happy colours and bright highlights. I love it. It's so fascinating to see how every page differs from the others; and we started with multiple photos, ended up with only one, went back to multi-photos again... and now we are back to a single photo once more! This is good fun.
You're very generous to offer these prizes. Thank you so much for this - I will be excited to see who wins what!
And I have found another interesting blog to follow!
Love your LO...how funny that it's back to one pic again! You are indeed being extremely generous with your prizes Deb..am off to see how the page ended up!
ReplyDeleteAlison xx
I have really enjoyed doing this too - we definitely need to do it again sometime!
ReplyDeleteIt's fascinating to see your page, because I can see real echoes of my own in there - even though it went through several changes in between the two!
Love the colors, and such fun embellies!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. Lovely the vintagey colours which are perfect for the photo. I'm really enjoying this Blog Hop. Thanks for the prizes too
ReplyDeleteI love the colour palette on your layout, so soft and pretty! The little birdy detail is very cute x
ReplyDeleteLove the photo and the pretty colours!
ReplyDeleteIt's been truly fascinating, Deb to see how you've used Lisa-Jane's page as the basis for your own, and how your journalling spot shape and the patterned paper have been reinterpreted so effectively. I really enjoyed working from your ideas, so thank-you!!
ReplyDeleteYou are super generous!
ReplyDeleteI can see why you used the red, it really does POP against the blues & kinda vintage feel papers.
Beautiful photo
Your page is lovely and that photo priceless!!! You kept the elements that I would have kept as well :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely page. I like how you kept the linear effect but made it your own with a bright splash of red. It really suits the photo.
DeleteThank you so much for your lovely comments on my layout and for providing the prizes to the hoppers and hoppees (or whatever they / we are!) I love the pops of red and that is such a great photo. The papers are gorgeous too but I must resist buying any more (why oh why is that so hard!?) Great taking part with you.
ReplyDelete(WV was harytory, made me chuckle!)
Gorgeous page - I especially love the sporadic gems on your title. Another morphing of the page - I can see what you took from Lisa-Jane's ... I wonder what will happen next!
ReplyDeleteI really like the papers you've chosen - I love that combination of colours. I also love old photos like these :) You are so kind to offer up the prizes too - thank you!
