Been a-scrapping...

Well last week I had the whole week off work...& that was just brilliant!!

Pete & I went in the camper trailer to a local beach for 3 days & it was great really...aside from the heavy downpurs of rain now & again.  We got a touch of the sun, when it was shining, so beach walking, surfing for Pete & paddling for me...very relaxing.  We came back to a visit from our daughter, which was just so delightful & now pottering about getting ready for the usual working week.

Got time to scrap over this weekend too, & been working on ScrapBoutique's October CC - A Dreamy Nightmare....

Manon's Inspiration Challenge ............there was a choice of a dreamy photo or a scary one...naturally I didn't choose the scary one!!!

Amanda's great sketch Challenge using the A4 size & a great sketch.....

The lovely guest DT Leanne's Spooky challenge - we downloaded the haunted house & had to incorporate it into our page....I used some Brissie lightning photos & stitching on my page.

Em has a Sunday Roast to come tonight...so looking forward to that for sure!!

Take care...

Homemade Yumminess

I have been learning Cake Decorating through our local kitchen shop YK2...it is a Wilton course & I have to say, even though I got into a huge mess...it was wonderful!!

There are 3 more courses & I look forward to each one.

Here is a few little cakies I made & then decorated...there is no way we could possibly eat them, so I took the patty cakes to Trivia & handed them around, & then the cake to my day work, where everyone hoed into it....as you can see the 3 wise monkeys doing here too.

This photo was taken 5 years ago as Crys & Tash played in the pandanus at Fingal Head.  Lovely photo of Crys...& the title is a long one, but still suits her...Dream, it is good for the soul.....so true.

Think I am back now.....

Let's hope so at least...the rain has eased & the link has 'dried' out so the net is working...gott be happy with that - for sure!!

So last Sunday as Pete was heading south to work, I joined in with the LSBS gals & participated in the October CC...and loved the time that I had to work on my LO's & card ....

Kerryn set a brill challenge using lots of different & bright papers to herald our lovely Spring season.  So I had a little fun with paper & a sweet photo of my Harry.

Dee's challenge was of course a card, using a great sketch for a LO. I used my fave KC Utopia papers & Prima leaves to create this little bit of card happiness.

I realize that this photo is blurry, but when I took the piccie it was raining & I couldn't access my files easily, so not able to photograph again (until now), But haven't done that!! This was about then & now...how things grow/develop - this was a moving Lo for me...thanks Belle.

Gosh there is that great KC paper again!! I had to use it again!  So worked on this great photo of Jade & Pete, earlier this year with lots of gentle colours & textures.  Melinda & Helen are so inspirational work with hand cutting...I really am enjoying it now!

Here is another LO using another fave paper range - Muma Razzi from Bo Bunny...gee I love the colours & 'feel' to the papers.  Nic wanted us to make our own leaves for this LO, plus I made a fabric flower as well, plus a few sticks from the garden...just suited this great photo of Pete.

And last but not least is my LO with inspiration from Tracy, about my garden.  So this is my lovely cycad in the front yard....was fun to work with a really 'green' LO.

Til next time,

Cheers, Deb xxxxxxx

I have been here, but with all the rain, rain, rain our internet link has been 'washed' out.......so I am using tethering from my trusty iPhone today to try & catch up a bit.  Cant wait for the easy internet to return...

Take care xxxxxxxxx
