Think I am back now.....

Let's hope so at least...the rain has eased & the link has 'dried' out so the net is working...gott be happy with that - for sure!!

So last Sunday as Pete was heading south to work, I joined in with the LSBS gals & participated in the October CC...and loved the time that I had to work on my LO's & card ....

Kerryn set a brill challenge using lots of different & bright papers to herald our lovely Spring season.  So I had a little fun with paper & a sweet photo of my Harry.

Dee's challenge was of course a card, using a great sketch for a LO. I used my fave KC Utopia papers & Prima leaves to create this little bit of card happiness.

I realize that this photo is blurry, but when I took the piccie it was raining & I couldn't access my files easily, so not able to photograph again (until now), But haven't done that!! This was about then & now...how things grow/develop - this was a moving Lo for me...thanks Belle.

Gosh there is that great KC paper again!! I had to use it again!  So worked on this great photo of Jade & Pete, earlier this year with lots of gentle colours & textures.  Melinda & Helen are so inspirational work with hand cutting...I really am enjoying it now!

Here is another LO using another fave paper range - Muma Razzi from Bo Bunny...gee I love the colours & 'feel' to the papers.  Nic wanted us to make our own leaves for this LO, plus I made a fabric flower as well, plus a few sticks from the garden...just suited this great photo of Pete.

And last but not least is my LO with inspiration from Tracy, about my garden.  So this is my lovely cycad in the front yard....was fun to work with a really 'green' LO.

Til next time,

Cheers, Deb xxxxxxx

Just a scrap a day, keep the

scrapper happy!!

So had a little bit of time to make a couple of cards for the LSBS September Cybercrop.

This was a great sketch from Nic, using 3 tags & the word 'BIG'..I love this one myself!! Hehehe.  I used rub ons, that did not want to rub on!!

With this card inspiration from Dee, you had to use something 'big' on the front, so I chose lovely BG pp's & a birdie with a cage.  A most useful card here I think. I was very lucky & have won a lovely prize from the LSBS for this one....lovely to be able to buy some more scrapping stock!!

Hope you are all OK out there in bloggie land.

Just been scrapping & card making....

Not been 100% of late...really hoping it isn't glandular fever or the like....where has my energy gone...evaporated into the ether!!!  But still other than resting, I come up to my scrap room & make a card or a LO, or check out the amazing blogs...my heavens the gals are so creative & clever!!

LSBS had a Weekend Warrior using the new header on the website as the inspiration...so made a little card, from Sassafras Lass papers & lovely embellies.

Also worked on a LO of Pete & I at our vow renewal last year for LSBS Seasoned Scrapper - Winter 3.  Nic's inspiration was The Door song & lyrics 'Wintertime Love'....

Had loads of fun with Prima papers & some fabric beads.....I was lucky enough to be awarded a HM for this one....yay!

And for the SS Winter 4 - I have made a quick card using the 'winter warm' colours that was Deanne's inspiration...titled For You Dear....

Now off for another rest....

Wonderful ScrapBoutique

is having a 3rd birthday Cybercrop at the moment...it is running til Friday, with marvellous challenges...

This is for Sharon's Colour Challenge - using purples/blues & whites.  And with Kaisercrafts magnificent Utopia range - one of my favourites, I had a wonderful time scrapping a photo of moi on my honeymoon in June 1976 at Bermagui....oh the memories!!!

Amanda set a wonderful inspirational challenge using a beautiful photo titled 'Spring' - and I really enjoyed thinking of, & working on the above LO.  A beautiful Mothers Day at Brooms Head, with 2 young lovely children & my mum too - we were picnicing...and yes, it was bliss.

This was a birthday special LO class with the lovely Amanda again, & I really had fun with the colours of my son & grandson 'flying high' at Dreamworld.

The talented Em, had me so nervous to cut a photo into 3, but once I had finally mustered up the courage & got that trimmer going, then adhered on my page...it was quite a great thing to do.  This photo is taken at the most marvellous spot in the world...I do have an affinity with it...I know I do!
I have been making my own organza flowers & having a ball teaching myself...they are coming along.

Last but certainly not least, is a round shaped card challenge, set by Chels.  So I jumped in & created a card for my hubby's birthday in November!!  Always good to be prepared!! Had fun with Glimmer Mist & Tim Holtz templates & lovely Kraft CS.

Well thanks for looking,

Lovely designs, courtesy of the talented Miss Melinda......thank you....I enjoyed the 'precise' cutting & measuring for these...I used Kaisercraft & Websters papers on black bazzill.

Used Sassafras Lass paper for this one...then modified it with a 1 before the 9 & gave it to my 19 year old grand daughter for her birthday.

See you soon....love Deb xxx

Christmas in July Cards

Great idea dear Sandie....

Here is cards 1 to 8 -

Top left - acetate card...they are hard to take a piccie of...used Cosmo Cricke pp

Top middle - reindeer card - used KC pp & a lovely stamp & some little 3D stickers

Top right - Card 1 - used Kraft card, KC pp & ink

Bottom left - used a 'pre-made' card base from Spotlight, plus Kraft card, my 'Be Merry' KC stamp & a handmade lace flower.

Botton next - inking....but it is not very visible in the piccie.  Used KC paper...they make such a nice lot of ranges.

Next - my Holly card - used KC paper & KC wooden holly (that I picked up in the Geelong shop...yummy spot) plus some ribbon.

Next one - 2 Christmas trees -  more inking ...did another one - also used more KC pp & Kraft card.

Then the final one on the bottom right - torn KC pp with Kraft card.

Enjoyed making these & will hopefully get time this week to make another batch...

Thanks Sandie for the inspiration!!!

LSBS June CC - fabulous!!!

 Hi dear friends,

I had a wonderful time working on the LSBS CC last weekend...did what I could do, & didn't stress cos I didn't finish all of the great challenges....& that is a good thing.

I was so fortunate to win one challenge & this is it. I was really stoked with that, cos it is my own LO...

Wonderful Nic used numbers - the year she was born in the criteria & I followed suit...my birth year is now (from tomorrow) my age.....mmmmm............. but just loved having fun creating.

This is a 3 fold card with inspiration from the lovely Dee....& I used my new KC pp & stamps for this one, & will use it as my sister's birthday card, which is in a few weeks.

Challenge 2, set by the beautiful Belle has criteria of green titles & a number in the title, so I scrapped this top piccie taken at Alan's birthday....love this great pp!!

Then to finish off....some fun number cards..& really enjoyed popping these out..used that gorgeous Sassafras Lass pp!!

Well...I am now on a week's holiday from 1/2 an hour ago......& my dearest Pete is winging me away in the sky to the south & will end up at the Melbourne Museum for the Titanic Artifact Exhibition.....so til I am in the ether again....enjoy yourselves.

Scrapville Beauties for May

I had a lovely time with Melinda's sketch for May over at Scrapville...in fact used the leftovers & made another, so I have a double...& happy with that as well.

What a great sketch it is Melinda!! And glorious pp & embellies...

This was a funny & wonderful tale tale of Harry setting up his Mr PotatoHead men, & taking photos with his little toy camera.  Then he got his mum to take a real photo...& he did the directing..just love it!

Next was the May sketch...

A happy family piccie here...

Then the May card....but I got diverted while I was making this one  & slipped away from the sketch!!

But it will be for Harry's 4th birthday which is just around the corner...he used to love bees, hope he still does!

Love to you, Deb xxx

May Birthday CC at LSBS

A birthday cc for the Little Scrapbook Shop...& thoroughly enjoyed scrapping...

1st challenge was from Nic....with a great sketch that I turned around & really enjoyed playing with the Cosmo Cricket pp.

Challenge 1a was a clebratory card with inspiration from Deanne....used my new pretty edge trimmer here.

Challenge 2 was 'name your poison' & I scrapped Pete with 'his machine' the beloved coffee maker. As I write this another brew is happening in the kitchen!!

Challenge 3 with inspiration from Kerryn, is of something that 'makes your heart sing' & so I have used a lovely photo of Tashi.

Challenge 4 was from Belle...& she had a few instructions on how to colour tags...so I thought a card would be great here...loved the way the tags turned out.

Then the final challenge was from Tracy..using the criteria of red, brown & green plus RAKed goodies & something in everyday life.  Mine is about keeping in touch with my family.

Sandie's Handmade Flowers Card

Had fun with this one Sandie...just in for a inspiration....

I have used a grocery shop flyer & a bit of old sewing pattern, some old buttons of my dear mums, & voila 3 flowers & a card - just for you!!
I have been checking out the net, & have seen numerous handmade flowers that I will try...it surely has been fun.

Step one..the old pattern...glimmer misted in a lovely strawberry shade & crumpled, sewed a gold & white button on...

Step two...the flyer flower... circles, folding & crunching....& stitched together...

Been scrapping a bit yesterday....

This was the for LSBS Autumn week 2, a great challenge from Kerryn....a quilt style LO....& here is a piccie of Benni at 21/2, Jadie was 4 weeks old in April 1982...& we were all so young...

I used October Afternoon pp's - gorgeous, gorgeous...& some glorious Sweet Vintage crotcheted motifs...

Now a bit different scrapping about yourself...but LSBS had a Weekend Warrior & I decided to use that marvellous Kaisercraft Utopia pp again, & do another page of me...& it will be a double for another I made last weekend.  This is the story of my introduction to scrapping...& I wrote a poem - not a great one...but fits the bill..  Plus I added who inspires me....Lots of cutting out again - where will it end!!

I have also completed some challenges from Scrapville - 2 x LO's & a card using the Scrapville April Kit...but one of the LO's I chose to do was in other pp. Scrapville's Kit inclued lovely Bo Bunny pp, & all sorts of bits & bobs...was a lovely kit...There was a piece of pp tissue as well & I sprayed it will Glimmermist - Peppermint Stick & sewed on a button. Harry is rather a lovely lad for 3 & a 1/2!!

This wedding LO is of a friend's daughter & I used the Scrapville sketch for this one...just seemed to suit this!
