February at ScrapBoutique

A magical challenge from the newest stylist Sonia, with inspiration from two birdies...so I chose this photo of us with our Jade.  I love this one!! Lots of cutting, using the glorious BG Curio range...special papers.
Amanda's challenge was to scrap our home, & so this one will go in my new home album.

I used lots of Marg's Bits & Pieces...aren't they gorgeous crotchet, & yo-yo flowers! I truly love them!

And my final LO for February at ScrapBoutique, being the love of Jade's life & his fab children.  Manon's Stash Stomper challenge was to use lots of words...so journaling took on a life of its own.

Keep well, love xxxx

I'm packed.....

What a great challenge Deb set at Soul Scrappers....'getting there is half the fun'...so Jade's little kitty Fern starred in this role!
Obviously she wanted to go too...
I have used most of one of Carol's gorgeous Tattered Inspirations kits, for the embellishments..they are so full of whimsy & I love that!
Thanks lovely gals,

Cheers,

Fabric & love.....

is the sensational Sandie's Place challenge for February....with the addition of some lovely scrapping goods from her I really enjoyed working on this divine photo of Jade & her man.
I have used most pieces from a kit from the lovely Carol at Tattered Inspirations for the embellishments.

Off to scrap some more...

Wonders....

Now that got you thinking hey??

I am working on the 4-7-11Challenge at LSBS & the first 7 weeks is Wonders....

My LO titled Slip 'n Slide is inspired by a photo of the Great Barrier Reef with Lauren adding a few criteria, 1 x CS & 4 pp's...& I worked with this fab photo of Harry.
I have used Bazzill CS, with various KC papers, handcutting, bits & bobs, & featuring Marg's famous buttons.

This LO is of Madi, & it is inspired by Belle, & is about someone going through some kind of change.  In Madi's case, growing up.   I have used CS, Grace Taylor pp & embellishments, as well as part of a Tattered Inspirations Kit.

Thank you for all your kind comments on my blog. xx

Busy, busy....but

But I definately made time to scrap this great photo of Pete, when we visited Tassie in 2003...

Such a great technique of stamping with Stazon, then using a crayon over parts of the stamps, inking & then wiping off some ink....great result...I will use this again.

Take care, Debi xx

Sharing the love....

Over at the LSBS this weekend, is the loved up weekend Cybercrop & I enjoyed all four challenges.
This raucous LO is Pete & I heading to the Pineapple Party last year..& with Belle's challenge, she requested when we were finished our page, to get the paint & paint the CS & some embellishments...so I did!! And it was fun.

This LO above was from Tara's challenge using your idea of grandparent love...so that one was lovely to work on too.

Now I thoroughly enjoyed this LO with Pete, Madeline & Hayden...what tremendous looks on their faces they all have...& so I titled my page & had fun with adding a few embellishments.  Think mine turned out a bit different to how Nic was thinking, but gee I am happy all the same.

This card was from Anna's challenge using a great sketch, & so I made a vintagey card using a little something I found.

It was lovely to scrap this weekend...in between the gardening & cooking....

Journaling 101...just what a scrapper needs

Erika from Soul Scrappers is running a course on journaling...so I have joined in & here is my LO of Jade & Pete & Madeline & Hayden.

I have a new camera, & I really couldn't get a good shot today...I took about 30 & they all were poor quality...I don't think it is the camera, but I suspect it is the operator!

But such a thorough course & it will benefit me so well.

Thank you for such wonderful comments too gals...I appreciate them all.

Take care,  xx

Joy from 27 Lingwell Road

The fabulous & amazing thing with scrapping is how some LO's just 'fall into place' & sometimes from something quite insignificant.

I saw the February challenge at 'White with 1' & knew what photo I had to scrap with the criteria this month.  White + brown + vintage .  Then when I was ready to work on my page I picked up my new Crate Paper Restoration Collection chipboard pieces, & there was a gorgeous little number 27!    I couldn't believe it......this is my dear mum's house number where she grew up.  And so it just grew from there.

Here is a close-up of some detail taken while I was still adding my extra bits of ephemera. I used an original photo of my mum taken in 1937, as it has been scanned & I would prefer it on a page than sitting in my photo box.

This is my lovely big boy cat Bobby helping me take some photos...

Take care lovely gals,

More soul scrapping....

What a top challenge that Shazza set & that was to scrap a page, or OTP about a cause we believe in...gee what a huge choice, but I decided to go with Global Girlfriend..a really excellent cause that helps women some independence through eco-friendly, organic, & fair trade of handmade goods.

Now the lovely Karen sent me some bits & bobs all the way from Canada so I could join in with a group of 19 other women, to make up a 'winter chill' style LO. There was glitter & bling, tags, thread, clear acetate & of course the snowman!
Do you know this is the first snowman I have ever made?? That is - on paper, or in the snow!
I used a photo of Pete & I on our snowy holiday, as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary in 2001 at Jindabyne, leaning on a couple of skidoo's that were parked near the Hotel.

Take care, xx

This is my take on the wonderful inspiration over at ARTastic Challenge Blog - what a top choice of artwork, thanks Peggy.

I chose to use a photo of me when I was young, & used PS to make it a mirror image....I cant believe I did that, as I am so bad with PS!   I had fun with stamping, hand cutting vellum, Tattered Inspirations lace flower, &Margs Bits & Pieces crotchet doily & pearls.

Feel free to join in this month & if you do, & let Shazza know you are my friend, I will mail out a little gift for your efforts.
