Deck the Halls...

The criteria for the Christmas Card Club was set by Lizzie & this time it is a 3 fold card - always fun ...so I used some lovely patterned cardstock, & some wonderful Basic Grey elements.

I am so enjoying making these christmas cards in all different ways through the year.  I will have a lovely pile when the season is upon us again.

Our Little Yellow Bird

Here is my take on whitewith1 this month - the criteria being

WHITE + LEMON + 3 PHOTOS

Although this photo of our baby Jade is not clear, it is a lovely photo in its own right.  Jade loved the colour yellow from such a young age & when this gorgeous little sundress was given to her, she could not stop wearing it!  She still at aged 29 still loves yellow, such a sunny & happy colour.  We have called her our little yellow bird for years, so I really thought that I had to participate in this challenge.

I have used white Bazzill, BG Piccadilly range, Dew Drop ink & SU stamp, assorted flowers I have been given, Margs Bits & Pieces flower, Auhentique alphas, Sassafras Lass alphas, KC pearls, Zig writer & KC rubon, plus a lemon Copic marker for some doodling!

Maybe you can join into this fab challenge too?

Cheers,

CHIPBOARD

So using a fab photo of Linda, Jan, Monika & moi I had a great play with turquoise paint, lovely Me & My Big Ideas chippies, inks, wonderful MME paper, gorgeous alphas & some bling & ribbon & flowers.

Here is a little closeup -

Happy scrapping! xxx

Dream

Isn't this a beautiful inspiration from Karola Witczak from Case Study.  This is Case Study 78.  I had to play with this one!

So here is mine..

I used Bazzill for my card with MME large journaling tag that I stamped with ink on cling wrap kitchen film, then a Bella journaling card, a MME metal Dream sign, & a BG journaling card & matching transparency. I embellished with an old silver earring, chiffon ribbon & butterfly, Prima & KC flowers & some unknown brand flowers too, plus lovely Dew Drop ink.

Thank you for such a gorgeous card as my inspiration Karola!

And thank you for looking,

Happy scrapping

I would give the world to you....

Let's Get Shabby

Creating with a
New Year's song inspiration....
We really loved this song because it has quite a positive message and feels very international too!
So create with either the title and/or any of the lyrics within your project
(so long as its visable)
Title of song: 'This is the New Year'
by Ian Axel
you tube:
Lyrics:
Another year you made a promise
Another chance to turn it all around
And do not save this for tomorrow
Embrace the past and you can live for now
And I will give the world to you

Speak louder than the words before you
And give them meaning no one else has found
The role we play is so important
We are the voices of the underground
And I would give the world to you

Say everything you’ve always wanted,
Be not afraid of who you really are,
Cause in the end we have each other,
And that’s at least one thing worth living for,
And I would give the world to you

A million suns that shine upon me
A million eyes you are the brightest blue
Lets tear the walls down that divide us
And build a statue strong enough for two,

I pass it back to you
And I will wait for you,
Cause I would give the world
And I would give the world
And I would give the world to you

This is the new year
A new beginning
You made a promise
You are the brightest
We are the voices
This is the new year
We are the voices
This is the new year

I really think this is marvellous inspiration by the DT's at Let's Get Shabby & decided to make a card this time.
I used beautiful vanilla Bazzill, Kraft, doily, birdie image, KKC tag & ephemera, KC flower & other blossoms, MME rubon butterfly,Jenni Bowlin alphas & inks, masks.

Hope you have been able to scrap today!

Here we are now into our 3rd challenge & it is from Sylvie, thank you,  & that is to use snowflakes.
I had to use this lovely paper pad again that the best gal called Clare gave me...I think it suited my great Imaginisce Snowflake crystals that I won & some Kaisercraft pearls & my lovely little Seasons Greetings stamp.

Another great Christmas card for the collection!

Past Times

Oh I had a wonderful time scrapping this photo of a tiddly me & most of my family with my other brother behind the Box Brownie camera.

What a great criteria at Kraft It Up this month...
Of course Kraft, pinks & love - so mine is about family love, way back in 1959!

I adore this My Minds Eye kraft that I purchased from Janet at Scrapville...
I could use it for every LO!!

Hope you are happily scrapping too,

A gift of love....

Shazza at Soul Scrappers has the most fabulous Song/Lyric Challenges...and here is my page from the inspiration of  the REM song Shiny Happy People.

And so this paper is from Bo Bunny ' A gift of Love' & though it most apt for February & this challenge.

Here we are at Tashi & Mitchell's Year 12 Formal gathering at their school, as they were waiting to be bused into the Hilton Hotel last November.

So then for Mary's Colour Challenge, I decided to use the same fab Bo Bunny papers with a lovely photo of Tashi & Mitchell all dressed up.  Aren't they a gorgeous pair!

So really I now have a double page using these formal photos & this great paper.

The Love Bug

Over at ARTastic this  Februarys' Inspiration is from the interesting painting titled
'Heart and Soul' by Brenda York.

Here is the criteria -

1. Red Heart/s 1pt
2. Black and white photo =
2pts
3. Red monochromatic layout .. with a touch of green!
3pts

And here is my LO

What a modern piece of artwork for our inspiration this month....I love it!!

So this one was easy for me to work on, due to the painting & a photo taken last year of my hubby & I.  Our daughter snapped this one (unbeknownst to us), on a dark night so the light is poor, but still I love this photo.  So teamed it with reds (my signature colour) for this monochromatic LO & some lovely fabric roses for the touch of green.  I have little red hearts on one of my pp's, & also stamped red hearts as well.

Being the Valentine month, I hope we see lots of gals joining in with this top challenge.
