So Cool in That Pool..

Another terrific challenge from CSI this week...aren't those colours, 'the scene' fabulous!

I had this photo matted & out on my desk for another LO & then saw this, & went wow! perfect!

So here is mine -

I masked, & stamped with my toilet roll stamp & used the fabulous pp & accessories that CSI provide each week, along with a bit of bling...why not I say..
Sandie's Daisy fitted in perfectly hey!

One of the pieces of evidence was something upside down, so I reversed the letters in cool...interesting!

Product Review for Alacraft No 1........

I was so chuffed to be able to help James from Alacraft out on a few product reviews...& had a wow of a time getting into some scrapping I have to say!

Alacraft online store has a huge range of scrapbooking products along  with lace, ribbon, yarn, stickers, iron on motifs, quilting fabric, craft flowers, bridal accessories and much more.

In this LO of Pete & I under the Jetty that I worked on this week, I have used some lovely Smart Kraft bling - I chose to use one frame, & 1/2 of the other frame.

Some of these glorious flower sprays - the folded red roses & large white flowers with drops of 'water' on them..how sweet &

some Smart Kraft small white flowers with bling centres

and of course a wonderful black butterfly!

Sorry, that photo is bad....
The butterflies bodies are separate, so you can add it if you choose...which I did.

I have found each of these products sturdy, well made & really all that I ask for on a page or card...so why not check out the website & see for yourself..

Go to  Alacraft & you will even receive a 20% discount using my own special code DEBI20 on your order!!

Alacraft also has a monthly giveaway of $25 of free craft products for anyone who enters their email address into the raffle.

My next review will be with some more lovelies & a couple of cards...

Hugs xx

What a wonderful Case file this week (as if there never is!!) at CSI.  Brilliant!

Do pop over & jump in...they really are fabulous!

So here is my LO using the criteria...I have to say I have begun to be really addicted to these amazing challenges...& always now waiting for the next one!
Bring on Saturday morning I say! :)

I used this wonderful sunshiney & happy photo of our Pippi with us taken on 3/4/13...and just really enjoyed looking for ephemera in my stash that all went together.

I am also 'in love' with texture paint & crackle paint, so used my fave stencil to create that sunshiney feel to my page.

I used this fab Kaisercraft bird cage rubon, & I finally found my 'little birdies flying' stamp (been MIA for ages) to add that freedom feeling

I layered the KC rubons with Prima flowers, & leaves & metal flowers & button, plus some lovely confetti & really am happy with how it all turned out.

A Smile is the best makeup a girl can wear....

What a fabulous saying  for this months challenge at
Scrap the Girls   a Smile is the best makeup a girl can wear....

So I had to scrap this fab photo of my Jadie & Pippi...aren't they both so gorgeous!

Am I biased or what! :)

I used plain white CS & gesso's some hexagon shapes, misted pink GM across the top & wiped off, misted again with aqua & wiped some away, & then blew the runs across the page with a straw..now that was fun!

I needed to do this magic photo justice!

Thank you for looking..

Butterfly Dream

I absolutely love this painting by Michael Duncan & it is the marvellous inspiration for
April at ARTastic!

Additional criteria - The use of stencils/masks

Fantastic!

A little about Michael Duncan
In 2010 Michael completed his Fine Arts (Sculpture) degree from The Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne. Michael started stencilling in 2009 during his spare time at the VCA. Michael’s accomplishments include being a finalist for the past two consecutive years for the Australian Stencil Art Prize, completing a multiphase commission at Tramp Bar in Melbourne’s CBD, and exhibiting in A Cut Above II: International Stencil Exhibition at Espionage Gallery which featured some of the best stencil artists from all over the world. Michael is currently preparing for his first solo exhibition which will open in Melbourne on the 17th of May at Off The Kerb Gallery.

“I always like to include a quirk of humour in my stencils, I find it helps to develop a connection to the work. Form, high detail and bold imagery are probably the main things I consider aesthetically when developing my works while at the same time with the aim of provoking thought. Many of my stencils are up to 35 layers and it is really satisfying to see all the layers build up to the final image. Each artwork can take up to two months as I have to hand cut each layer. I strive to create stencils that are extremely detailed in an effort to really push the boundaries of the stencilling art form potential”.

For more information please visit his blog at http://www.michaelduncan.com.au

So I really had fun with my craft stencils on CS, & some mixed media work with gesso & mists & came up with this title Butterfly Dream

My journaling reads...

Circles, rain falls, wings flutter, life moves, loves lost.
Times past & so it goes on.

Do join in cos it is a lovely inspiration!
