Somewhat Sketchy!

Great sketchy hey!!

This is Week 57's sketch over at Feeling Sketchy this week...

and here is my card

I used some lovely paper, fussy cutting, with machine stitching & used a large flower embellie, as well as a scalloped circle for the sentiment.

Love the versatility of each sketch.

The Past brings in the Future

An awsome challenge over at Mystical Scrapbooks, lead by the talented Anita Bownds

using baking paper on cardboard.  And as I really love using cardboard, I so enjoyed this project!
This photo is of an old unused petrol bowser on Norfolk Island, & I just loved it vintageness! It was nearly the last photo I took on the island, as we were on our way to the airport to fly back to Brissie.

I gesso'd, masked & misted, & had fun layering.

You can join in with as well...just pop over to Mystical Scrapbooks.

Thanks for looking, hugs xx

Love Always

Over at Mystical Scrapbooks this month was one of the most wonderful inspirational picutres that Tracey used...I would show you but the link doesn't seem to work.  So I created this page, using this beautiful wedding photo my Jadie shot recently.

I used a pretty mask & fingerpainted texture paint on my CS, then when dry used that mask again & misted, or fingerpainted with colour.

Really happy with how this worked out, so worked on a 2nd page for ScrapBoutique this time, with Sharons great challenge of no pp's at all....and here is it..

Really happy with my double LO - as the pages can be placed either side, with Love Always or Always Love.

Rusty Beauty

I am so enjoying scrapping on a cardboard base - eco friendly too, that I decided to join in with the lovely laydeez at Lets Get Shabby.

The criteria for Challenge 44 is really diverse so I choose
A subject, an embellishment and a technique.
List 3
Stamping
Inking
Misting
Distressing
Embossing
Painting

Subject - a beautiful rusty 'lighter' boat sitting on the shores of Slaughter Bay,
Norfolk Island

Embellishment - chipboard, journal tags used as a background layer

Technique - I have gesso'd, masked & misted, inked, stamped, distressed & painted my project.

I am very happy with how this turned out & I have it already on display at home!

Thank you for looking,
Hugs xxx

One Happy & Proud Mummy

I decided to join in with Scrap the Girls and here is my page.

The criteria for April is

BUTTONS
PAINT/MISTS
HEXAGONS

I have misted with 2 masks & 3 colours, plus used the wonderful Kaisercraft range 'Pickled Pear', of bits & bobs with a handmade rosette flower from Tattered Inspirations, alphas by Snap with this beautiful photo of my daughter & her darling daughter.
So the title 'One Happy & Proud Mummy' also applies to me as well as my Jade.

This was a joy to work on today!

Dressed to Impress!!

How is this for that spooky, creepy feeling?? Well this is the April inspiration from Archi-scraps!!!

I decided to use a photo of my grand daughter 'Dressed to Impress' at her 21st birthday last year...using the height of the castle & the cool colours as my inspiration.

So here is my page -

I loved working with this colour scheme, the purple, greys & blacks & will use this again.

Do play along with us in April, as these are great challenges!!
