SB - Em's Sunday Roast for March

This was the most delightful blind scrap.....such a wonderful sketch that I really love the style...thank you Em...

I enjoyed the small piccie size - I thought firstly that it seemed a bit small...but it turned out so well. Love painting, of course & painting a flower & then stamping when dry...& clustering all the elements & of course the black & white with red.....my very fav colour combo.

Lovely ScrapBoutique's March CyberCrop - Outdoors

I have had a lovely time working on some great challenges over at ScrapBoutique...

Friday night it was Speed Scrapping with Chels...now that was different, but I thoroughly enjoyed it... We had a sketch & I used these lovely, lovely piccies of Jade in Venice....oh so nice in Venice

Next was Manon's Sketch Challenge....& i used some great photos of our Harry playing under the shade sails...oh he is a cutie...

Next one was Karen's Inspiration Challenge & our criteria was to use photos without any people, so I chose to scrap some glorious clouds that I had taken off our front deck last year....I did enjoy working on this one...

Next was the fabulous card challenge....bringing the Outside in card.....& here it is...

A simple card really but I am happy with it....

Next was the Sunday Roast...but I better wait til Tuesday night to pop Em's challenge here...just in case....I thoroughly enjoyed this blind scrap....I seemed to be able to follow the instructions with ease...which is not usual...hehehehe.  Em had great instructions & a great plan.....I did have fun.

This LO was for the 'Inspirational' challenge & I used this magical B & W photo of Jade's frangipani..

This was the card challenge...and I really enjoyed embossing the frames & plaque for this challenge.

Birthday apron

I have had in my little head for quite a while that I would really like to perfect my machine sewing & start sewing pretty aprons & here is my first one.  I made this one for my Jade's birthday & she just loves it!! Woo hoo!!

I made up the pattern using the local real estate paper, all sticky taped together, bought the cotton material in Jade's favourite colour.  I looked for cotton black broderie anglais lace, but none in this town, so will pursue that else in time, so used black lace. The 'hard' part the bodice worked very well & did all the right things...my sewing machine behaved itself & I ended up with a good result.  I changed the skirt pattern during sewing & thus need to make a new pattern when the next real estate mag is popped in the letterbox!!

Jade received her apron on her birthday & here is a piccie of her wearing my little creation.  Behind her is the most beautiful sketch of her dear little cat.  She received this from her love for her birthday as well.  Wonderful!!

LSBS Weekend Warrior for March

From Nic at Little Scrapbook Shop -

This weekend we have 2 anniversaries.

The first is today. It is a year since we lost our gorgeous Jessie dog. The second is tomorrow when Russ and I celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary.

One very sad day followed by one that is so joyous.

This weekend I would like you to scrap a layout about an anniversary and use this image as inspiration:

This image comes from The Chocolate Chip Waffle blog, and is titled 'Leaves of Gratitude on my Tree of Life'. Something to think about when you are creating.

You can scrap a happy anniversary, or one that makes you sad. One you'd prefer to forget, or one that you will make you smile for the rest of your life.

It could be a work anniversary, a wedding anniversary, a new car anniversary, your homes anniversary, or the passing of someone dear.

This was the criteria...so I had fun with a touristy photo of Pete & I taken on the Skyrail in Cairns in 2004........

Dont be afraid to go out on a limb, that is where the fruit is...Anonymous
