See This @ Use Your Stuff

The challenge over at Use Your Stuff is to use WOOD!

So with that in mind I scrapped a photo from 1995 of my Jade & I visiting the family farm up on the Northern Tablelands of NSW.

This is a photo that just happened to be taken....we haven't any idea of horsies...but it looks great don't you think & it was a wonderful experience.

I have used some fabulous little wooden birdies, along with a wonderful Kelly Purkey wooden leaf. Plus a few layered papers...using my new WeR Memory Keepers embossing folders.

It was wonderful to scrap this memory today, & I thank you for the challenge.

Time Flies @ Off the Rails Scrapbooking

I haven't played along with Off the Rails Scrapbooking previously...but with such a terrific mood board for June, I had to have a whirl.

I think the colours here are just fabulous...

And I had to scrap this wonderful photo of my son-in-law Pete - using these criteria. Perfect I believe.

Pete is a great family man, & one fabulous top bloke!

We couldn't ask for more for our darling daughter.

Here he is putting on his shoes just before their wedding....the photo was taken by Jade & Pete's marvellous wedding photographer Lyss & Her Camera.

I have used water colour paper cos I am in love with it, some squishy green paint I found at the local Op Shop last week, Heidi Swapp & ColourBurst sprays, Kaisercraft & Prima stamps & Wycin brick chippie sprayed & inked as well.

I loved this chippie...so versatile!

The groom....

I titled my page 'Time Flies' as it was such a fun day getting ourselves ready & here the groom is putting on the 'ritz'.

And some repetition....

Thank you for a fabulous challenge..

I Heart This @ Sketchy Boards

Now when I saw this challenge over at Sketchy Boards Challenge, I just couldn't put it out of my mind...I loved the intense greens...it just spoke to me..

So I have spent a bit of most days of June, with paints & inks & texture paste & stitching on old book paper on this A4 canvas.   Just putting it on in dribs & drabs & letting it dry in between.

BUT I hadn't chosen my photo...& I wanted one on here, & my Jade gave me this gorgeous one of my granddaughter Pippa & myself today....it is wonderful,
& perfect to hang on the wall!

I have used the sketch too...loosely...in my way...as we scrappers do.

Happy, Happy with the result...

Thank you Heidi & the DT's at Sketchy Board Challenges...

Pack Your Bags @ Scrap Africa

Another fabulous inspiration over at Scrap Africa this month....just look at it!

And it really made me want to play!

I have created a 12 x 12 digi page....
using photos of Pete & I, just after we had arrived at Heathrow
after our first ever long haul flight...then we jumped on the train & changed at Earls Court...so a plane & a train in that 29 hours...phew.....

I choose to use the reds, bluey greys with some lovely muted map pp as my background...picking those from this inspiration.

I certainly enjoyed a play at the computer early this morning - thank you for a great challenge.

Hello Sunshine at Let's Get Shabby/Arty

What a great challenge once again over at Let's Get Shabby/Arty!

And I mean it is a beauty!

Challenge #64

Here’s our next challenge…….
To use:
‘Discolouration’  (Australian spelling)          ‘Discoloration’  (American spelling)

Definition:
Dictionary:   discoloured/discolored :  marking or area with a stain.

So wow did I have fun!!

I began with the fabulous watercolour paper and I

a used a PG Tips tea bag of Petes, some Honey Chai (that has given my whole scraproom a divine smell) and one Impatients flower...

Sorry that the flower broke though...

Lots of drying then - Voila! My LO about my dear little daughter in 1984.....

I used Prima stamps, & lots of Cocoa Vanilla embellies

And a few little closeups..

And a calico Prima flower worked on this discolouration theme as well...

Very happy with my creative efforts...it was such a pleasure to play at my desk.

Thank you

Hugs xx

The Rocks of Tenterfield @ Pixels & Paper

Another fabulous inspiration over at Pixels & Paper this month....take a look!

There are many things here to inspire you.  The colours of the balloons, the balloons themselves or the feeling of space and light and freedom they may evoke.  The sense of country or of farming, wind, clouds and flat grassy plains, trees and grass, early morning and the stillness of those first few hours of the day.  Whatever the inspiration we would love to see your work in our gallery this month.

I have chosen the outside - the wide open spaces, as my inspiration - the air & the peace & the nature of the photo.

The beautiful rocks around Tenterfield in the tablelands of Northern NSW are just gorgeous....
My in-laws have always had an affinity for that area, so we visited so many times & took so many great photos.

Thank you for a great challenge.

I am very lucky to have been asked to be a Guest Designer over at 123 Get Scrappy this month....just take a look at the tic tac toe board that was my inspiration...

Bet you cant guess what line I choose to use?? Hehehehe

Yes, of course...
Polka Dots, Washi tape & Paper Clip

And I went overboard with the dots...

And I love washi tape...

And I even dotted my chippie alphas with my white Zig writer....

Do join in with this great June challenge.... it ends at 30 June.
