I was very fortunate to have a couple of little prizes awarded for a couple of my LO's lately.....
At Janet's gorgeous shop Scrapville, I managed a lovely prize of Sandies Handmade Daisies for a little LO of my Benni when he was 4 years old. Janet loved his 'flanny'....so did he! Oh & I just love these October Afternoon papers too!
And for October over at Scrap the Girls, I was fortunate to score a little prize for this LO of wonderful Tashi - just being herself.

The Seasoned Scrapper
Some LO's from the Seasoned Scrapper from the Little Scrapbook Shop......always great ideas
This was a great theme....thanks Nic...scraping some sporting piccies. This is my Jade & her very successful primary school softball team.
This was a card for a fine fellow, so that is Pete & I found this great 'Collections' cut out with Clark on it too!
This is my dad & me way back in 1960!! Photo taken in the backyard of my Lismore home.
I certainly enjoyed working on this vintage LO of my in-laws Garland & Dirk...what a top photo!! I think I really enjoy that vintage or retro look. This photo was taken in 1950.
And the lucky last, is a LO of my winter hobbies....cooking for me...& that is really goes all year round. Actually baking a Banana Yoghurt Cake with some muffins right at the moment...the smell is divine!! I was very fortunate to win the weekly prize with this LO...I am very chuffed, I must say!
So on that note....better check the oven, til next time xx

A little bit of what you fancy.....
does you good I say!!
Not been feeling 100% but decided to do some scrapping yesterday arvo & I think I feel better for it!
This LO is for the ARTastic Challenge blog for this month...lovely Tashi & her cat Dolby.
Now this LO is my Pete & Harry, building on the front deck ...Harry just loved that drill!! This challenge was from Screen2Scrap. & the criteria was a hand print, black letters & to use red & yellow cardstock. This criteria stemmed from the poster for The Body Snatchers...& it was a hoot to work on! Love playing around with inking my hand....
This next LO is for the Kaisercraft Mix-it-up September Newsletter challenge. This is a piccie I took at Merroo of an old cart, whilst retreating recently. The criteria for this was to use dotted paper, a heart, something red, pearls/bling...so played around & this is what I came up with.
Hope you are all enjoying your scrapping or cardmaking, & smiling as well.
Love Deb xxxxx

Just been scrapping & card making....
Not been 100% of late...really hoping it isn't glandular fever or the like....where has my energy gone...evaporated into the ether!!! But still other than resting, I come up to my scrap room & make a card or a LO, or check out the amazing blogs...my heavens the gals are so creative & clever!!
LSBS had a Weekend Warrior using the new header on the website as the inspiration...so made a little card, from Sassafras Lass papers & lovely embellies.
Also worked on a LO of Pete & I at our vow renewal last year for LSBS Seasoned Scrapper - Winter 3. Nic's inspiration was The Door song & lyrics 'Wintertime Love'....
Had loads of fun with Prima papers & some fabric beads.....I was lucky enough to be awarded a HM for this one....yay!
And for the SS Winter 4 - I have made a quick card using the 'winter warm' colours that was Deanne's inspiration...titled For You Dear....
Now off for another rest....

A quiet restful moment
I so loved this recent photograph of Pete taken at the end of the breakwall at Apollo Bay, as the sun was going down, that I used it for ARTastics August LO. The inspiration was Claude Monet's beautiful & calming 'Sunset' & I just loved altering the cardstock with paints & bubble wrap, & making a black organza flower to place at the bottom of the Twiddleybitz chippie reed.
I am so lucky to love scrapbooking...what a wonderful lifestyle it is!

Fabulous Crate Paper Kit !
Loved this beautiful Crate Paper kit from Scrapville...and so enjoyed following Melinda's sketch & worked on a LO of our beautiful daughter when she was a tiddley girl!

Wonderful ScrapBoutique
is having a 3rd birthday Cybercrop at the moment...it is running til Friday, with marvellous challenges...
This is for Sharon's Colour Challenge - using purples/blues & whites. And with Kaisercrafts magnificent Utopia range - one of my favourites, I had a wonderful time scrapping a photo of moi on my honeymoon in June 1976 at Bermagui....oh the memories!!!

Amanda set a wonderful inspirational challenge using a beautiful photo titled 'Spring' - and I really enjoyed thinking of, & working on the above LO. A beautiful Mothers Day at Brooms Head, with 2 young lovely children & my mum too - we were picnicing...and yes, it was bliss.
This was a birthday special LO class with the lovely Amanda again, & I really had fun with the colours of my son & grandson 'flying high' at Dreamworld.
The talented Em, had me so nervous to cut a photo into 3, but once I had finally mustered up the courage & got that trimmer going, then adhered on my page...it was quite a great thing to do. This photo is taken at the most marvellous spot in the world...I do have an affinity with it...I know I do!
I have been making my own organza flowers & having a ball teaching myself...they are coming along.
Last but certainly not least, is a round shaped card challenge, set by Chels. So I jumped in & created a card for my hubby's birthday in November!! Always good to be prepared!! Had fun with Glimmer Mist & Tim Holtz templates & lovely Kraft CS.
Well thanks for looking,

Had a ball working on this one of me.....Tracy taught us how to make ribbon flowers & made the big green lace one, & used some other smaller ones I had been given in a Kris Kringle RAK...thankyou Gill!!
Another handmade flower here - this time using that lovely tissue paper. And more photos from our Great Ocean Road trip.
And a card using my fave colours, & some more little bits from my Kris Kringle RAK.

LSBS June CC - fabulous!!!
Hi dear friends,
I had a wonderful time working on the LSBS CC last weekend...did what I could do, & didn't stress cos I didn't finish all of the great challenges....& that is a good thing.
I was so fortunate to win one challenge & this is it. I was really stoked with that, cos it is my own LO...
Wonderful Nic used numbers - the year she was born in the criteria & I followed suit...my birth year is now (from tomorrow) my age.....mmmmm............. but just loved having fun creating.
This is a 3 fold card with inspiration from the lovely Dee....& I used my new KC pp & stamps for this one, & will use it as my sister's birthday card, which is in a few weeks.
Challenge 2, set by the beautiful Belle has criteria of green titles & a number in the title, so I scrapped this top piccie taken at Alan's birthday....love this great pp!!
Then to finish off....some fun number cards..& really enjoyed popping these out..used that gorgeous Sassafras Lass pp!!
Well...I am now on a week's holiday from 1/2 an hour ago......& my dearest Pete is winging me away in the sky to the south & will end up at the Melbourne Museum for the Titanic Artifact Exhibition.....so til I am in the ether again....enjoy yourselves.

Scrapville Beauties for May
I had a lovely time with Melinda's sketch for May over at Scrapville...in fact used the leftovers & made another, so I have a double...& happy with that as well.
What a great sketch it is Melinda!! And glorious pp & embellies...
This was a funny & wonderful tale tale of Harry setting up his Mr PotatoHead men, & taking photos with his little toy camera. Then he got his mum to take a real photo...& he did the directing..just love it!
Next was the May sketch...
A happy family piccie here...
Then the May card....but I got diverted while I was making this one & slipped away from the sketch!!
But it will be for Harry's 4th birthday which is just around the corner...he used to love bees, hope he still does!
Love to you, Deb xxx

Alan's top cake!!
My brother just turned 70, & is now having fun on an OS trip...but before he left we had a whizz bang party at a lovely restaurant & I made the birthday cake...cos I love doing that!
I made a two Caramel Mud cakes, from the AWW recipe files. Then joined them together & covered them with White Chocolate Ganache, & also Caramel swirls. Made a batch of patty cakes & some were iced with the ganache & the rest with caramel.
While I was deciding what cake to make I scrapped a page of Alan, & then had it converted into an edible icing from an Australian company called Custom Icing. I wasn't sure how it would turn out but it was fantastic result! I had one rectangle icing for the cake top, & 12 patty cake toppers.
I was assured by many of the party guests that their dessert was delicious!!
Now I have to work on a LO of the finished cake....
Here is the page from where the icing began.........
So if you are after a similar cake topper, dont hesitate to contact www.CustomIcing.com.au
If you do look on their website, you might happen to see my cake, in the Party Pack 2 section....yay!!
