Summer of '56..

A wonderful photo, although not very clear of my hubby Pete & Steve in their pram when they were babies pushed around by their older sister Susan at their grandparents property in the bush up on the northern tablelands.

All the farm chickens are pecking away in the forefront & the shadow of their mum, is there as wll taking the photo - a box brownie I think,

This is a digi LO for Pixels & Paper using My Memories, & this is the inspiration

Fabulous photo...perhaps mine is about the same era??

Thank you for looking!

Playing Ladies

I really love Lucy Muraca's YSMY each month & definitely love this photo of the Crawley sisters from Downton Abbey - what a great show it is - sometimes I would love to walk a mile in their shoes.

Here is the inspiration photo

I also cropped the Crawley sisters faces - Lady Mary, Lady Edith & Lady Sybil, plus played with a Tattered Inspirations kit plus lovely papers, & stamping. I took an autumn theme with
my page as well.

Thanks for looking..

Feeling Sketchy Christmas Blog Hop!! Woo Hoo...

Welcome to the Feeling Sketchy Design Team Christmas blog hop!

I am so very pleased you have hopped on here!

Hopefully you've found your way here from Morgyn's blog,

But if you've only started here then you might want to start back at

I'm so excited to share my scrapbooking LO using -

  Feeling Sketchy sketch # 73

I have worked on a 8.5 x 11 page using a wonderful photo of my
late mother-in-law Garland, when she was just 5 years old. I have titled it 'Treasure'.

Just look at those beautiful ringlets, her mum would have added the rags to her hair to get these, especially for the photo, oh they are so pretty!

I have masked & inked, & added some lovely Tattered Inspirations laces & doilies, & flowers along with pretty Prima bling & buttons.

For my next project I have made a trio of gift tags....

I love making tags, so again I used our Feeling Sketches sketches for these 3 small Christmas gift tags.

The Feeling Sketchy sketches are fabulous to keep in a file & have on hand for inspiration!

And lastly here is Christmas LO of my two children way back in 1984...not sure if they are happy on Santa's knee here though!! :)

The title of my page is 'U 2 are My Best Gifts Ever'...

For this page I used some older Basic Grey Christmas paper ranges, along with some lovely Whimsy Farm twine.  I have used Sketch # 71 for this page.

Now to thank you for hopping along to my page in the Feeling Sketchy Blog Hop, here is a fairly large & happy RAK you could win!!!

If you leave a comment, I will use the Random.org to choose a winner....
now that is easy hey!!

The fun doesn't stop here, the next blog to hop to is Danielle's.

When all is done, be sure and check back with Feeling Sketchy
for a wonderful giveaway on our blog.

The blog will finish on November 15,
& the winner will be announced on the November 16.

Isn't it just fabulous!!

Thank you for taking the time to hop over here..

Yourself...

Well I have to say I had a lovely play with this page I made for
ARTastic this month...using this wonderful artwork from Jenny Grant as my inspiration -

Criteria - Free choice, make of this what you will!

A little about Jenny Grant  Jenny is a self taught mixed media artist that creates her art based on an intuitive process. Most of her paintings evolve as she paints and when she finds her flow, magic happens!  She works with mixed media – acrylic paint, oil pastels, ink, colour pencils, fabrics, paper, photos… anything that comes her way. Her work is very rich with many layers that add depth and texture. Her work is exhibited and for sale both in Sweden and New Zealand as well as on-line.

One Big Adventure...on Norfolk Island

Here is my LO for the November challenge at Archi-scraps  using this unusual & interesting inspiration photo

The added criteria this month is THE SEA.

You can use any seaside picture so long as you can explain how this inspired you.

I used the 'sea' theme here on my LO using some photos of how they launch boats from the Jetty on Norfolk Island.

It really is an interesting event to watch as a car, winch & the boat is involved then off goes the boat for some recreational fishing.

I used some hessian, & woods with my photos to sure up the Jetty and give a maritime feel.

Why not join us this month...it is a fabulous challenge.

Hugs xx
