Week 5 Postcard - Japan - Still
Nearly the end of this marvellous journey around the world at ScrapBoutique...it has been a fabulous time...last week we were in Japan....such a lovely postcard.
I choose the idea of the garden with the rocks & the hoe...that serene, & peaceful Japanese tradition.
I used a photo of Lake Baroon near Montville, & a simple LO with some weaving & a homemade flower.
Cheers, Deb xxx

May Birthday CC at LSBS
A birthday cc for the Little Scrapbook Shop...& thoroughly enjoyed scrapping...
1st challenge was from Nic....with a great sketch that I turned around & really enjoyed playing with the Cosmo Cricket pp.
Challenge 1a was a clebratory card with inspiration from Deanne....used my new pretty edge trimmer here.
Challenge 2 was 'name your poison' & I scrapped Pete with 'his machine' the beloved coffee maker. As I write this another brew is happening in the kitchen!!
Challenge 3 with inspiration from Kerryn, is of something that 'makes your heart sing' & so I have used a lovely photo of Tashi.
Challenge 4 was from Belle...& she had a few instructions on how to colour tags...so I thought a card would be great here...loved the way the tags turned out.
Then the final challenge was from Tracy..using the criteria of red, brown & green plus RAKed goodies & something in everyday life. Mine is about keeping in touch with my family.

Postcard from India
Week 4 of Scrap Boutique's beautiful postcards from round the world.
This week the sights & sounds of gems & saris, & henna'd hands, magnificent spices...I really enjoyed this one...
I was very inspired by the beautiful colours, & used a couple of piccies of Jadie & Bec at a recent wedding...Jade had made her own beautiful earrings, & bec's beautiful red hair just added to this LO. Lots of hand cutting, & bling of course.

Happy Mothers Day
I had a lovely mothers day, with phone calls from my lovelies & time out doing wonderful things in the sun with Pete. Started the day with the beach walk up & over Macauleys Headland across Diggers & back....cold but just so lovely....breakky & lunch in the sun in the back yard, then off to the local show......where I won First Place for my single scrapbooking LO titled 'Gems' & a 2nd for my OTP of 'My Country'....
But during the morning I sat in my scrap room & worked on two LO's, one of my daughter & one of my son. I want to do a LO of my mum, but need to scran the photo in first.
This LO is for Amanda's Stylist Chall over at ScrapBoutique..& it is of 2 glas & 2 kittens all in the back yard.
This LO is also for ScrapBoutique & is Manon's Stash Stomper for May.
Cheers, Deb xxxx

Week 1 Postcard - New York - Take Me Out to the Ball Game
Now this was a different challenge to the last 2 postcards over at Scrap Boutique, & used some marvellous piccies of Harry playing bowls in his back yard. This was using New York as the inspiration - so chose red, white & blue as the colour theme. His mum cleverly filled up drink bottles with coloured water & he had the most fabulous time knocking them over....
So I used the baseball song, as the title. Just seemed to fill the spot.

Sandie's Handmade Flowers Card
Had fun with this one Sandie...just in for a inspiration....
I have used a grocery shop flyer & a bit of old sewing pattern, some old buttons of my dear mums, & voila 3 flowers & a card - just for you!!
I have been checking out the net, & have seen numerous handmade flowers that I will try...it surely has been fun.
Step one..the old pattern...glimmer misted in a lovely strawberry shade & crumpled, sewed a gold & white button on...
Step two...the flyer flower... circles, folding & crunching....& stitched together...

Been scrapping a bit yesterday....
This was the for LSBS Autumn week 2, a great challenge from Kerryn....a quilt style LO....& here is a piccie of Benni at 21/2, Jadie was 4 weeks old in April 1982...& we were all so young...
I used October Afternoon pp's - gorgeous, gorgeous...& some glorious Sweet Vintage crotcheted motifs...
Now a bit different scrapping about yourself...but LSBS had a Weekend Warrior & I decided to use that marvellous Kaisercraft Utopia pp again, & do another page of me...& it will be a double for another I made last weekend. This is the story of my introduction to scrapping...& I wrote a poem - not a great one...but fits the bill.. Plus I added who inspires me....Lots of cutting out again - where will it end!!
I have also completed some challenges from Scrapville - 2 x LO's & a card using the Scrapville April Kit...but one of the LO's I chose to do was in other pp. Scrapville's Kit inclued lovely Bo Bunny pp, & all sorts of bits & bobs...was a lovely kit...There was a piece of pp tissue as well & I sprayed it will Glimmermist - Peppermint Stick & sewed on a button. Harry is rather a lovely lad for 3 & a 1/2!!
This wedding LO is of a friend's daughter & I used the Scrapville sketch for this one...just seemed to suit this!

A few cards & a sale
Well I have lots of cards I have thoroughly enjoyed making, & thought with Mothers Day coming along I would make some more & see if they would sell....so took them to my day work & to trivia too, & wow whee...sold heaps, & I need to make more. I actually didn't put Happy Mothers Day on them, but they were all pretty girly ones, so lots of my buyers are going to give them to their loved ones for that reason...
All in there little clear packets reading for envelopes & sealing........
Popped them all in a basket & bob's your uncle!!
Love, Deb xxx
