November ScrapBursts..

Over at Scrapville, Janet has been running 4 ScrapBursts & here is the criteria

NOVEMBER SCRAPBURSTS

#1 - METALS

This layout is to incorporate Metals - this can be embellishments, metal foil, charms - as long as there is a healthly balance on the page you'll be ok.

#2 - STITCHING

Ah Ha - and it can be by hand or machine, as long as we have at least 25% of stitching used on your layout, which is more than just the border girls, so get creative!

#3 - NUMBERS

Ok, following the list you will need to have ALL of the following incorporated into your layout:

1 x bling shape/pattern/word
2 x photos 

3 x frames
4 x patterned papers
5 x brads

#4 - EMBOSSED PAPER

This layout is to incorporate Embossed Papers, whether you add them or emboss your own.  Your layout must include at least 1/3 ofEMBOSSED paper/s.

So I played around with the metals I had plus some silvery & shiny bits & bobs & came up with my LO titled Pizzazz & Fun.

For my stitching LO I choose these wonderful photos of young Ben..ahhh

Next it was numbers...and I choose to scrap Tashi graduating from Year 12...The Graduate...

And the last Burst - embossing.  I choose this wonderful photo of Jade's Pete, with his brother & dear mum....top photo hey!!

Nanny Love at Scrap Jacked

I decided to join in at Scrap Jacked again this month& so used Jeanenne's fabulous LO titled 'My Mowing Hat' as my inspiration.  I have used similar colours & her sketch to create a page about Debbie & Harry at a fab picnic recently.  What a gorgeous photo that Jadie took. I love it!

Warm & snuggy with Kraft it UP

I believe that I look blissful in this photo..and I was.  My little Benni was so wonderful (& still is, of course 30 years down the track) & so I deceided to use this photo for my LO for KIU this month.  The criteria is 'journaling' something that I am finding easier & easier to do as I go along. And here is a closeup with my journaling. I just love Kraft & adore textures with it, so misted & doodled & affixed bits & bobs, & enjoyed the whole process.

Long time..no blogging

I have been on a marvellous retreat with the lovely ScrapBoutique gals the weekend before last - here I am with the amazing Leanne. What a top weekend!

And then a trip up to Brissie to see my grand daughter Tashi's Year 12 Graduation, & then see her all dressed up for her Formal as well.  Spent some lovely time with Jadie & her Pete & all the Willis clan too.

Then on Sunday night - The Moody Blues in concert!

So got to get into the scrapping again soon...or I will be left behind!!

I will also catch up on my blog reading too...just been out of time lately!

Home for the Holidays

What a great poster as inspiration at From Screen to Scrap...& here is mine following the criteria -

For an extra 6 bonus points :)


1) Journal in white pen = 1 pt
2) Use  the word 'HOME' in your title = 2 pts
3) Use a photo of a family gathering = 3 pts

Here is all the Clark cousins in 1985 after a big family day outing at Minnie Waters...no one wanted to go home!! Too much fun!

In the Garden with KIU

This month the gals over at Kraft It Up have given us players a lovely choice of either Monochromatic - a style I love, or Minimalistic - another fab style or Vintage/Romantic/Shabby Chic....so that was my choice for this page.  I used a shot of this gorgeous Camellia, & just enjoyed stitching & hand cutting & layering.

I have taken a few closeup shots & added, just for that detail. I of course used marvellous Kraft - I love this medium...perfect just by itself, with some Websters Pages paper, Tattered Inspirations flowers & seam binding, Prima flower & Butterfly, Scrapware Chippie, Dew Drop ink & my new sewing machine stitches.

A lovely sketch by Helen's sponsor this month, Tracey at Platypus Creek Stamping & Craft gave me food for thought, so enjoyed this little card, using stamps & a doily, some chipboard, bling & a Prima flower.

An early Merry Christmas!

I really enjoy making Christmas cards, & Helen Card & a Half Challenge Blog has an Extra # 5 challenge. The criteria wis to make 2 cards using the same papers, in different ways.  I have used this great Websters Page's paper, with some hand cutting to add extra roses to the floral Christmas card, & a big green bow & some coloured hessian on the other.  Very usable cards, that certainly wont go astray.  If you would like you can join in too - just head here.

In the pink....

What a great weekend it is for a CC over at ScrapBoutique...and it is celebrating Girls Weekend...so here is my pinks LO of my lovely Jadie Joy way back in 1984.  I was sent a whole bag of glorious embellies from Jan, & I have used lots here, plus a piece of Pandora ribbon & some stamping with my new La Blanche stamp...I love it!

My next LO was to use Leanne's inspiration -

and I used all the fabulous colours & had a great time with Tashi's last school photo

I made a little flower & I had been given a lovely kit by my dear friend Shazza, & used a few bits & bobs from it, plus a Sandie Daisy.

Not a cross word

Suddenly it is Week 7 of Passion for Fashion at ScrapBoutique!! Time flies when you are having fun - & aint that the truth!

Here is a great photo of Pete, Madi & Haydoss sitting at Sawtell.  Love this photo that Jade took & the photo colouring is perfect! ....so with a fun time tearing & distressing & adding clothing labels & mesh, Basic Grey, MME & Kaisercraft papermy grungey LO was born.

What a fab sketch from Scrapville that I played with & created this page.  I used some photos of Jade that were hanging in a frame at our old home.  I took them out & realized how faded they were, but yet I love them this way.  So I played with some perky greeny/yellow MME paper & I reckon that the photos really stand out on that colour.

I next worked on the Scrapville card sketch

And made this dreamy little card..all from scraps...
