Pippa @ Scrap Around the World

With a few hours off work to create, I decided to play along with Scrap Around the World June challenge, & what a fantastic one it is too!

Look at this fabulous Mood Board by Di Garling....

 

Isn't it tempting?  Doesn't it make you just WANT to scrap?? Well it certainly sang out to me!!

Here is my page...about my darling little grand daughter..

I had fun with lovely inks & mists & stencils creating a perfect background using all the inspiration of black, white & shades of yellow to work in with this sunshiny photo of Pippa.
I love the yellow field of flowers, & my gesso'd & misted background reminded me of that, plus the gorgeous yellow flowers draping over the fence I had to 'drape' some flowers under my photo.  The whole inspiration is happy & joy, so added that to my title as well.
I have used some chevron straws to make a banner, & some divine little paper roses & buttons from a friend.

Right Now @ Scrap Around the World..

I have not joined in with the scrappers at Scrap Around the World before but with such a fabulous event of one year's worth of challenges..how could I resist!

So this is my page....titled 'Celebrate Today, Right Now'...

I have used this photo of me in 1985, looking so joyous...but I know how insecure I was feeling! I felt I had the weight of the world on my shoulders....a little family whom I loved, & I really thought that I wasn't clever/confident/able to bring them up well.  So of course they are grown up & so independent...of course I need not have stressed myself out so much....if I had only realized that one foot follows another, & all is well with the world if you decide it is.

I actually love this photo..even if it is of me, so thought I would use it in this context...

I have used gesso & texture paste on black CS, masks, Heido Swapp ColorShine, along with washi tappe, plasters tape, frames, Heidi Swapp embellies, Freckled Fawn enamel dots, tags, stamping, handmade tiny flowers, & a whole lot of thought at my life back then too.

And lots of layering which I love too!

There is nothing like a good time out to play with scrapping bits & bobs to make me feel great!!
