Some digi LO's over at Soul Scrappers...

I have been up early most mornings & so I have been sitting quietly in my scrap room...playing with my digi scrapping program...
and that lead to working on some LO's for Soul Scrappers..

Here is Shazza's LIFT26 titled Coffee Love..it is off Pinterest

And my take on it...using my lovely Pippi & her daily Baby Chinos

Next is Angie's challenge CUCC42 - a recipe challenge - Every Picture Tells a Story

My Recipe consists of your layout having at least the following ingredients
(you can have more or additional elements as well):
  • NO visible journaling
  • Kraft/tan background
  • One photo only
  • at least One tag
  • Ribbon or twine
  • Leaves - stamping or embellishment
I love how Jade decorated Pippi's shoes & I love this photo, so perfect to scrap!

Next is Mitzi's challenge..MYC17

International Day of Families

I used a lovely family photo showing off the Willis's & Clark's together at 'the wedding of the year'.

I thought Family Magic was a great title too...perfect!

Next page is Shazza's SLC46 - song & lyric challenge using

THE TROGGS "Wild Thing"
(by Chip Taylor)
Wild thing
You make my heart sing
You make everything groovy
Wild thing
Wild thing, I think I love you
But I wanna know for sure
Come on and hold me tight
I love you
Wild thing
You make my heart sing
You make everything groovy
Wild thing
[Instrumental break]
Wild thing, I think you move me
But I wanna know for sure
So c'mon and hold me tight
You move me
Wild thing
You make my heart sing
You make everything groovy
Wild thing
Wild thing
C'mon, c'mon, wild thing
Shake it, shake it, wild thing

So here is my take...using photos from our Scottish trip in 2006 of the Falkirk Wheel...a huge way of moving water....I think it is very groovy!

FS2S26 challenge was next....this challenge is using the poster to create a page

And my take on the subject...

When I started this page, I realized that my mum didn't have a bridesmaid, my photos from 1976 need scanning in...so I choose this photo from 1929 off the internet to play with.

And to my latest digi page for dear Karen.. TTT5

And here is my happy & sunny page

Having the ability to sit in the quiet & work on digi pages has been marvellous...I am so pleased that I am feeling somewhat better & can play around.

Thanks for looking.

Always x @ Use Your Stuff

A wonderful challenge I believe at Use Your Stuff , Challenge 187 - Sentiments.

So here is my 8.5 x 11 page using a photo of my late MIL in 2001, sitting in the warm sun at her new home.

I choose the sentiment 'Always x' as it suits Garland to a T.
A kind and gentle woman that I miss.

Isn't this Websters paper of the pink tree wonderful.

Thank you for a lovely challenge.

I am very very lucky to be a Guest Designer over at Archi-scraps this month, with this fantastic inspiration..

Flower of Life's photo.

It really appealed to my senses.

So here is my page....using photos of Jade at Edinburgh Castle when we were holidaying there at New Years 2006. Loved the sandstone sentry boxes...

I love working on mixed media backgrounds & tried to recreate the background on watercolour paper, of that fabulous building...

I used lots of Heidi Swapp products & some great scrap paper too....

I also used some Fancy Pants  tags...I just love them...

Do let me know in a comment below, if you join in with Archiscraps this month & I will send you out a RAK of goodies!!

Glamorous @ 123 Get Scrappy

Another fabulous challenge across at 123 Get Scrappy this month...

And I had to play along.....

I chose to use the Die cut piece, the Orange Background & the 'Cookie'
Now I honestly didn't know what a cookie for scrap booking was, & after searching the internet was no further ahead....but yet I liked the idea.  So I used one of my daughters' round labels she made for her wedding, plus I used a flair...perhaps they are cookies??

This is our beautiful daughter Jade, & our grand daughter Pippa with my hubby & I on her wedding day in March this year. Jade gave me this label of one of her snazzy clothes, & I thought it was perfect as the title for this one.

Thank you for a wonderful challenge - I enjoyed it so.

Time for some CSI Scrapping....

Lovely challenges are always found at CSI  so I was able to join in...

Here is the details for this fabulous Major Case File 163

Oh what a beauty it was too...

So I worked on a digi page for this, using my kittens photos.....

I enjoyed playing with 'My Memories Suite' & these little photos of the darlings....

Then I decided to sit at my desk with papers & bits & bobs.....and work on this next challenge...

And I knew I had the photos & of course I love the colours...

it's marvellous hey!

So here is my page using some photos taken with Pippi last week, when they were visiting.
Jade bought me a beautiful bunch of pink Snapdragons...and I couldn't help myself in giving Pippi Snapdragon 'kisses'..

I love the colour palette here & it just worked along with me...

And I made this mixed media tag, & thought it was perfect here...

Thanks for taking a look..

In 1971 @ Pixels & Paper Challenge Blog

With a boost of energy, & a day or two at home I was lucky enough to join in with Pixels & Paper this month.

A fabulous challenge..a lovely retro one...here is the inspiration

Cast your mind back - do you remember hand-made clothing using tissue patterns?  Was your Mum an embroiderer or knitter or did she enjoy another type of craft?  Have you followed in her footsteps and enjoy doing similar things?  Do you like having tea in dainty little cups?  Does a cup and saucer filled with hot fragrant tea remind you of someone from your past?  Or are you inspired by the bright, cheerful colours in this image or are drawn to the blue birds and flowers?  Whatever it is we would love to find out what inspires you.

So I found an old photo of Pete's sister Sue, & her new husband....& used the enamel bluebirds as my inspiration...(plus I love Sue's pink suit, definately made by her mum).

It was great to work on this digi page....I find it good for the soul...

Thank you for a lovely challenge Jane & the team.

Hugs xx
