Here I am a tad late again, with a card from Lizzie's 'musical' challenge.

With some fab elements from an October Afternoon Christmas pack, I fashioned a quick little Christmas card I titled 'Silver Bells'. But not a bell in sight!

I will pop around and view the most gorgeous creations from the English laydeez soon, they sure can make wonderful cards!

Scrapville ScrapBursts...

Well for the posting here..life keeps getting in the way of my scrapbooking and blogging time lately...hehehe, and going to work of course!!

ScrapBurst 1

Had to be a LO about 'me' with 5 points about 'me', and I really, really enjoyed scrapping this one, really I did...I used that great Amy Tan paper, & colours to suit....and I was very fortunate to win with with page, & so a pack is heading my way courtesy of Janet & her great shop.

My next page has this oldie but goodie photo of my lovely Ben & Jade when they were youngans!

This LO needed to have lots of distressing to fit the criteria plus stamping, and I had a wow of a time with the sewing machine on here!

I enjoyed using part of Tattered Inspirations kit plus extras on this LO of young Jadie & myself, and the pinks & apricot colours too..

With lots of messing stitching, and some of that lovely sinamay (thanks Leanne) I used this sweet Pippa photo...

I am so enjoying scrapping, and hope you are enjoying your scrapping time too.

Benni's Backyard....

Julene has set another interesting challenge this month at Archiscraps

And so I found some photo's of our Benni way back in 1980, in the backyard of our home in Newcastle.  I think that it shares some things with this inspiration.

I grunged up some Kraft with inks & mists, used some fabulous cardboard & had a great time distressing it then layered a small photo of my lovely boy into of the photo of our first home.

So my inspiration came from the colours & the building shape, & the title with a boys name in it too.

Angels & Butterflies in my Garden

Our October inspiration for ARTastic comes to you from mixed media artist, Liza Posar and is hosted by our creative team member, Chantelle.

A little about Liza Posar.

Liza was born in Melbourne in 1960 and studied Fashion/Textiles at Strathfield School of Textiles, Sydney 1984-87, and for a number of years worked in the fashion industry. She then started exploring different mediums and found that it gave her the freedom to express herself on canvas using a visual language that brings together drawn images of fantasy, reality, collaged images and the written word. When creating she uses watercolours, acrylics, fabric, chalks, inks, oils, markers, decorative paper, stickers, glitter and found objects and many more. Her funky, shabby artwork is based on everything that inspires her everyday: people, nature and life. Liza's work has been published in various Australian papercraft magazines and has exhibited in a number of exhibitions.

And here is my artwork for this month & a YouTube video of the inspiration for my flowers too....

I have decided to make a book for myself about my garden (and old gardens) & this is the front cover. I have used a Prima Mixed Media canvas album.
I gesseod my album, then glimmermisted with 2 colours, drying between each layer…I wanted a soft muted effect. Then added some colour sprinkles for a touch of extra pink.

Then I certainly had fun adding my embellishments, including my handmade flowers. I watched the tutorial below, and this technique is what my flowers are based on.

I had purchased a scrap of lovely fabric long ago, but I actually don’t know what it is…slightly heavier that chiffon, but still flowy & soft, and using the heat gun on this was so easy. The edges of the fabric melted so quickly, using my trusty pliers made things easier. I have added a photo of the goodies I used as well.
I stitched only 2 or 3 layers together, as they were gloriously curled & looking lovely!

Hope you have fun making these flowers, they really are delightful!

Do take a good look at ARTastic, there really is some amazing inspiration from the lovely gals!

Hugs xx

ScrapBoutique CyberCrop

Now this challenge from Chelsea, was all about getting in & getting messy on our CS...so I did!

I used SEI & Glimmermist that I sprayed & let run down, & when dry I turned it upside down & used this lovely photo of a milky tea & flowers, with my title being 'a quiet moment on a busy day'.

Next challenge was from Karen - using the loosing Magpie colours, & the Swans colours...so for me - just perfect the Saints colours!  I have been working on a Studio Calico class - all about 'Pop off the Page' so hope I tried a bit of layering here.

For

For Leanne's challenge we had a beautiful photo of 5 gals wearing delightful 'in fashion' colours & so needed to emulate this on my page.

And for Sharons speedy speed scrap, I used a photo of my man & his twin brother taken in 1971 up the Gold Coast....I coloured up a storm on this one.

ScrapBoutique for September

For Leanne's challenge this month, it was all about layers...and yes I have done this...but really you cant see mine very well...hehehe.

Texture paste, paper, card, lace, doily,.......but I have had a lovely time working on this great photo of the new family.

For Sharons challenge, it was a PageMaps sketch along with at least 5 flowers that were altered in some way.

I have used fabbo Amy Tangerine papers, with this photo of my Jade & Pippa...oh I believe there will be lots of photos of Miss Pip happening along... and had fun GM a Prima flower, hand cutting & colours some flowers with markers & pencils, plus a swish of paint or two.

GIVEAWAY - My Memories Suite - Digital Scrapbooking

Something very exciting happened a couple of weeks ago!! In fact it knocked me for six!

A company called My Memories contacted me about doing a review/giveaway combination of their software. After a little research into the company, I felt confident that it would be something that I would enjoy, as well as my friends.

My Memories sells digital scrapbooking software that can help you create digital scrapbooks, photobooks, cards, calendars, and more.

If you're anything like me, you'd love to take the time to scrapbook all of your favorite memories, but whipping out the scrapbook paper and cute embellishments just doesn't happen. Not to mention on all of the cleanup that is necessary after. My Memories makes scrapbooking possible from your laptop...so easy and so handy for a bit of easy fun, & you can do this while travelling - all you need is some photos & voila!!

Here is a couple of pages I have made over the last couple of weeks - whilst I was in 'test' mode.

Here is my first page using photos on a recent Christmas in July jaunt with my dinner outing friends the Ravers.....tried making the page like a pressie!

And with my beautiful daughter Jade at her Laydeez Baby Brunch recently, was lovely using the elements to enhance the photos.

And beautiful Madi xx

My Memories Suite has been super easy to use and the software download includes a lot of great templates ie holidays, birthdays, baby boy/girl, modern, traditional, etc. It also includes background colors, different textures to add, and tons of embellishments. And while there are plenty of great design elements included in the software, you can buy others for really affordable prices. I choose to design my own for my pages...but the templates would be great just to work on a quick page.

My Memories Suite is a fun and creative way to share and preserve your memories and the software is compatible with either a PC or MAC and available world wide. To give you an idea of some of the features and what you can create with the software, there is an instructional video on YouTube for you to view, plus there are many more videos to check out.

There are hundreds of layouts, embellishments, backgrounds, etc plus you can use it to create albums, photobooks, cards, gifts and calendars.

As an extra bonus, My Memories Suite is offering $10 off  the purchase of their digital scrapbooking software if you use the coupon code STMMMS51636.

All you have to do to enter for a chance to

win the software My Memories Suite V3 - valued at $40...

is visit My Memories Suite then leave me a comment telling me which one is your favourite digital pack or layout

I will draw a winner on 15 September.

What a fabulous deal!! So all you tradional scrapbooking friends out there - why not have a look see! I love it actually! In fact I have already purchased about 5 kits & also a few freebies...yay!

Hugs as always, Debi xxx

It is my turn over at our Christmas Card Club, so my critera was for 4 small cards or 4 tags.

I choose to make the tags, as I always leave tthem far too late to organise & have to use stick on ones!

I really had fun playing with Basic Gray papers, & embellies & some hand made flowers too.

I hope you all over at CCC have enjoyed this little challenge too.

Thanks for taking a peep,
